Historical Walking Tour - Canal and Communities

On the Canal and Communities walk, hosted by Jack Hanna, hear about the building of the local portion of the Rideau Canal, including stories of the workers; early villages on the lands that today are Centretown; Indigenous peoples and the new treaty that is in the works; and notable historic personages.

The walk covers about one kilometre and takes about an hour.

Meet at the Elgin Street Market at the corner Elgin and Waverley at 11 a.m.

There is no cost, but a donation to the Centretown Community Association is appreciated.
