Outdoor skating rinks in Centretown
As many of you will know, the City of Ottawa sets up two outdoor skating rinks in Centretown every winter - one in Jack Purcell Park (Elgin and Waverley) and one in McNabb Park (Gladstone and Bronson). The city counts on community volunteers to help maintain the rinks during the skating season. Skating is a great outdoor activity that everyone in the community can enjoy, particularly young people. If you'd like to help out at either of these rinks please send an email to seasonalrecreation@ottawa.ca with your contact details. See you at the rink!
Housing Affordability Working Group and Diversity & Inclusion Working Group
The HAWG (Housing Affordability Working Group) and the Diversity and Inclusion Working Group will be holding our first joint meeting for 2024 on Thursday, January 25th, 6:30-8pm.
The speaker will be Cheryl Case from CP Planning and they were one of the projects chosen for CMHC Housing Supply Challenge Round 2 for Roadmap for Redevelopment Plans to Confront Systemic Racism.
